The Subscription Legal Plan model is best for businesses that have legal concerns but don’t yet have the need for a full-time general counsel or legal department staff. As a subscriber, you’ll have access to an attorney when you need one, without worrying about unpredictable hourly billing. This enables you to proactively approach your legal issues.
Yes. Our subscriptions are month-to-month and so you can cancel whenever you like. If you cancel, your subscription plan will end on the last day of the following month.
Your Subscription Legal Plan serves as basic legal protection for your business. Of course, there will be some things that take more work than would be possible under a Subscription Legal Plan and therefore aren’t covered. For those matters, we offer generous discounts and competitive flat fee rates. Please see our Subscription Legal Plan Terms and Conditions for exclusions.
One of the most important objectives of Becker Law LLC’s Subscription Legal Plans is prevention. Addressing legal issues before they become problems can save you a lot of time and money. Subscribing allows you to have access to an attorney who understands the issues facing your business. Getting early insight into issues concerning such things as copyrights, trademarks, contracts, and business formation - all of which are commonly faced by small businesses at one point or another, is invaluable in setting your business on a solid foundation.
Typical legal services provided as part of your Subscription Legal Plan include:
- Contract drafting, review, and negotiation
- Employment risk management
- Intellectual property protection
- Corporate governance
- Legal compliance
- Outside legal counsel management
- General legal risk management.
There are some exceptions to coverage that aren’t included as part of your monthly subscription fee, such as, for example, certain specialized services and litigation, arbitration, and mediation work (see our Subscription Legal Plan Terms and Conditions for a complete list of excluded services).
Each Subscription Plan includes a monthly allowance of hours of legal services, heavily discounted from our standard hourly rates. Similarly, if the requested legal services can be completed within the monthly allowance of hours in the Subscription Plan, the monthly fee for the plan will still be less than the flat fee for those same services in most cases.
Your monthly Subscription Legal Plan fee is usually a fraction of the fully-loaded cost (i.e. salary, benefits, and taxes) you would have to pay to have an in-house attorney. This fee is designed to spread out the cost of your legal needs, with some months having more needs than other months. So, the monthly fee is priced to cover your long-term legal requirements, even though you’re not making any long-term commitment. All of this means that you don’t need to be concerned about bills you didn’t expect or inflated hourly fees. Becker Law LLC's Subscription Legal Plans are designed to bring value to you by allowing you to precisely budget your legal costs.
Subscribing is simple. Review the Subscription Legal Plan options and choose the one that best fits your current and future business needs.
If your requirements change, just login to your client portal and select another plan that best fits your current and future requirements. Changes to your Subscription Legal Plan (i.e. from one level to another) will be effective on the 1st day of the month following the month in which you made the change. For example, if you change your Subscription Legal Plan from Entry Level to Standard Level on January 15, your Standard Level Subscription Legal Plan and billing will begin on February 1st.
Each month, we’ll charge you the fee for your selected monthly subscription using the account on record.
All subscriptions are month-to-month. If you are experiencing problems with billing, please email [email protected] and we’ll assist you.
If you have the Entry or Standard Subscription Plan, simply login to your client portal and select the new plan that fits your needs. If you’re subscribed to the Pro Subscription Legal Plan, and your monthly requirement for legal services exceeds your allowed hours, you can add an On-Demand Services project to your subscription to complete the additional work.
Additional fees will be billed via a separate invoice. Alternatively, if your requirements have changed permanently, we can customize a Subscription Legal Plan to meet your needs. Please contact us for a quote.
